Day Eight

Hello hope you're having a great day.

So, it's time to show you how to make the plastic bottle windsock's. Ok,let's get into it. The first thing we have to do is color it I looked at lots of videos and decided to go by the one with school kids made theirs look like that famous artwork. I don't remember whose artwork it was anyway they said color ten bottles with sharpies so I did that now look at the picture.

the sun in SW Florida is really brutal, so I tried again with sharpies paint markers. Check out next picture. It was easier but still didn't hold It's color to my standards.

So it's time for paint, I used acrylic paint with a mixture of white glue with glitter over the top, It worked but still after a while some of the colors still faded. check out the picture.

Ok, by now it's been about a year and a half. It's time to bring out the big gun silicone. So I painted about 35 bottles, then glitter or confetti and last of all I smothered them with silicone spray. Now it's time to cut, I used scissors, but some people use knives, or razors. First take off the bottom that's the part you make flowers with, then start at the bottom and cut around the painted bottle in a spiral, go almost to top. Now cut the top about three inches from where you left off cutting around, making a band at the top. Now do all your other one and tie them together, I used fishing line and beaded a loop for hanging.

This is what it looks like with all the years put together. The bottom picture look how long and willowy, as it meets the ground little bits break off, I love them they are my favorite part of my patio.
