Day 11
Hello hope everyone is having a great day. Ok i was going to talk about all the new cool gadgets that they have now for the blind. However, I asked Vi to help me think of topics for upcoming posts, she asked her daughter and Brooke who in her young life had more than her share of things to overcome. She wanted to know how I felt when I was told I would be losing my sight and how I deal with it. Well since I was already handicapped, I had already lost my driver license but whe

But on my way home I realized that really wasn't the one thing, but that one thing was that I would like to be able to put my mak

Hi thanks for being here with me I know I told you that not only am I going blind, but I'm also handicapped, my disability is neuropathy. Which is when your nerves are damaged. However most people get it in their hands and feet, but of course not me I have it all over inside and out even my face. I tingle. All the time, and I don't feel pain like most people sometimes I don't feel anything and other times it feels like I'm being stabbed, never know which one I'm going to get.

Day 4
Hello again Well, now that I told you all about the tree and the flowers, let me explain how difficult this really was. Because I live in Southwest Florida. The sun is brutal so therefore, every time I put something new on the shed I also sprayed it all down with silicone. So, by the time I got the shed pretty much done. We probably have about 8 to 10 layers of silicone or polyurethane whichever one my husband bought. So, if you live in a place where there's lots and lots of

My journey to color to blind
How it started It started about four years ago when my doctor said that I would be slowly going blind and then two years ago I was diagnosed legally blind. I am already handicapped so as you can imagine at the point there was a lot of question and a lot of fear. As a veteran corpsman a lot of time I felt people didn't think I should be afraid that I had already conquered my fears. But that was so many years ago now I'm a wife, mother, grandmother and a emergency medical techn
